Black Worldschoolers Mobile Bookstore is a one-of-a-kind, all-ages bookstore on wheels celebrating Black life, heritage, and joy.
Our mission is to expand access to and awareness of Black stories from around the world while creating excitement and engagement around reading.
Based in Indianapolis, our mobile bookstore brings a thoughtfully curated collection of books by Black authors and illustrators directly to schools, workplaces, private celebrations, festivals, and community spaces across the Midwest. Since hitting the road in 2022, thousands of people have stepped aboard, experiencing Black literature in the places where they live, learn, work, gather, and celebrate.
Our reach extends beyond the bus through curated and bulk book services with nationwide shipping and online shopping for individual and smaller orders.
